Cleanup Day

Earn free guest passes, enjoy the spring weather while socializing with members, and help Peakland get ready for the 2025 season!
Please consider coming to assist for as much time as you can give. We really count on everyone’s help for spring clean-up to get the pool in shape for the season. This event saves us all money because we do not need to hire outside labor and helps members meet and spend time together.
This year we’ll be focused on cleaning all areas of the facilities, staining the pavilions, cleaning up the grounds and doing some landscaping. Each year we have members who generously bring their tools to assist with Cleanup Day. This year, we would ask those who are able to bring the following:
- Rakes
- Brooms
- Gas powered blowers
- Gas powered hedge clippers
- Pressure Washers
- Chainsaws
- Weed eaters
- Tarps
- Wheelbarrows
- Shovels
- Stepladders
- Shop Vac
- Drop Cloths
- Protective Hand, Ear and Eye Wear

When: May 16, 2025We're excited to see you and your family at our soft opening May 16th-18th! We will be open the following hours during the weekend: Friday, May 16: 4pm - 9pm Saturday, May 17: 11am - 9pm Sunday, May 18: 12pm - 8pm *Times are subject to change closer to the event

Friday, May 23: 4pm – 9pm Saturday, May 24: 11am – 9pm Sunday, May 25: 12pm – 8pm Monday, May 26: 11am – 8pm The weekdays between Tuesday, May 27, and Thursday, June 5, Peakland Pool may have a modified opening schedule of 4 pm to 8 pm if Lynchburg City Schools (LCS) is still in school and staff availability. The Pool will begin our normal hours of operation once LCS summer break has begun.*The date & time are tentative and are subject to change closer to opening weekend.*

When: September 1, 2025 11:00 amThe last day of the 2025 season will be September 1st. We will be open from 11 am to 8 pm.
