We would be sad to no longer have you at the pool, but understand life happens. If you are wanting to sell your stock you will need to do is send an email stating your desire to sell your stock and no longer wish to be a member + mail in your stock certificate to the following addresses:

Email: finance@peaklandpool.com

Mail:
Peakland Pool
P.O. Box 3101
Lynchburg, VA 24503

This will not ensure the immediate sale of your stock, but will have you added to our sale list. Stocks are sold in order based off the send or postmarked date for $650. Once a buyer has been found, you will be notified of the sale. Once the stock has sold you will no longer have membership to Peakland Pool or be responsible for annual dues.

The short answer is yes, provided the appropriate steps are followed:

  1. The prospective member still needs to fill out the application, submit the application and pay the application fee. The prospective member should note on their application who they are purchasing the stock from in the appropriate field.
  2. The application will still be processed and go through the approval process.
  3. The original stockholder will mail in your stock certificate to: Peakland Pool, P.O. Box 3101, Lynchburg, VA 24503
  4. Once the new member application is approved, the sale of the stock may be completed privately and the new member should pay the original stock holder the agreed purchase price.
  5. Notify the membership committee (membership@peaklandpool.com) and the stock will then be transferred from the original stockholder to the new member in the books.

The new member will now pay the annual dues starting from that date forward. If you are purchasing the  stock after the season has begun, the annual dues will be prorated based on the agreed upon start date. If the original stock member already paid for that year’s dues, the club will reimburse the original member based on the prorated rate and invoice the new member for the remainder of the annual dues.   Guest passes can not be transferred in the sale of the stock since new members will receive 10 guest passes.

Emergency Contacts are important so that our lifeguards and pool manager know who to call in the event of an emergency. This could be for a child or adult emergency, so it’s important that everyone have an emergency contact listed.

To update yours, simply login to Member Splash and scroll down to the bottom left of the page and you’ll see your current Emergency Contact information displayed there. Click the three dots to add/update that contact info and you’re all done!

Yes! You are welcome to bring snacks, food, and drinks. The only thing we ask is that you do not bring glass containers. If you do not want to bring anything from home, we do have a snack shack where food and drinks can be purchased.

In your membership portal you may notice a message stating a birthday is required. This is a platform data requirement for our membership management platform. To add this information, click on the ellipses next to each member and then choose “Edit.” You will then be presented with the details of each member, where you can update their birthdate. The tennis courts and land were sold in December 2021. This decision was not taken lightly and was made after a majority vote took place amongst the stockholders. Significant and costly updates were needed after years of use and storm damage. After a lengthy process of exploring all of the options, the board and a significant majority of the members decided it would be best to sell the asset.

Members are allowed to bring up to 5 guests per a day. The member must identify the guests and pay the guest fee per guest ($5 per guest) or use a guest pass.

Guest Fees are waived for the following circumstances:

  • guest is under the age of 2
  • guest lives more than 50 miles outside of Lynchburg

If you would like to bring more guests then you must apply to host a party and fill out the appropriate paperwork a week prior to the party.

In your membership portal (available here) if you have an unpaid balance, you will have a red banner across the top of your portal. You can click on the “Payments” link on the top menu, then “Make a Payment” and follow the wizard to pay your balance that is due. Please note that CC fees are added to the purchase but are not paid to Peakland Pool – they go directly to the CC processing company, and are industry standard. We hope to be able to offer ACH in the future!

We have a range of food items from made to order meals and apps to snacks and bottled/canned drinks available for purchase. We do not sell alcoholic beverages, but you are welcome to bring them from home as long as they are not in a glass bottle.

Please contact the Board President at President@PeaklandPool.com

The first step is to start an application, by filling out this form. You’ll receive an email with our full membership application after you have paid the Application Fee ($25).

If there are available memberships, our membership committee will review your application and once it has been approved by our Board of Directors, you’ll get an email with instructions on how to pay your dues so that you can begin enjoying the pool!

Our Board and membership committee are made up of volunteers, so please allow up to two weeks for processing. We strive to process applications as quickly as possible, but if your application is delayed, please feel free to reach out to membership@peaklandpool.com for an update!

Yes! Members can sell their shares directly, but we recommend filling out a membership application first. On the application, please note that you are purchasing stock from a member and note that member’s name.

Once your application is approved, you’ll receive an email letting you know that you can complete the transaction and how to pay your dues in our membership portal. Once your dues are paid, the member you are purchasing stock from will no longer have access to the pool or amenities.

You can find information about any openings we have for employment here.
